As we look forward to welcoming Springtime and all the wonderful things it brings, this shawl is a great sampler of all things lacy and wonderful.

Stunning String Studio is is offering limited “Slip into Spring” yarn kits in select stock colors complete with beads and stitch markers.

This is a 2 color, crescent style shawl in lovely fingering weight yarn that uses slipped stitches to create some very interesting patterns and lace components. It is worked top down with a knitted on border. Beading is optional, but offers a great introduction to using beads.
The pattern is fully charted and written.

Skills: Basic knit increases and decreases (yo, k2tog, p2tog, p2tog tbl, ssk) are included, but anything beyond that will be explained in detail as we go along. We will be offering a good introduction to slipping stitches to create patterns and lace as well as adding optional beads. Pattern is fully written and charted.

Yarn: Stunning String Studio Superwash Fingering (100% Superwash Merino, 475 yds (434 m), 100 grams); MC: Adriatic Sea, 1 skein; CC: Key Lime, 1 skein; or any fingering weight yarn: MC: 475 yards (434 m); CC: 120 yards (110 m)..

Yarn Recommendations: Pattern was written with contrasting solid/semi-solid colors in mind. If you choose to use a variegated, patterned or multi-colored yarn, you should only use it for CC.

Needles: US 6 (4 mm) 42” (107 cm) circular needle, or size required to obtain gauge.

Other: 21 Stitch Markers
Optional: 304 Seed Beads 6/0 & crochet hook US 10-14 (1.25 - 0.75 mm) or size that will fit your bead. If you prefer, you may use Super Floss or a beading tool to apply the beads.

Gauge: 18 stitches & 28 rows per 4” (10cm) in blocked stockinette stitch. Although gauge is not critical, it will affect overall size and yarn requirements.
