Two-color brioche is a super fun technique that basically gives you two projects in one – the work is not only reversible, but it is entirely unique on each side. And when you combine lace and two-color brioche knitting?
It’s a two-toned stunner!

This asymmetrical shawl uses a simple recipe to alternate two brioche motifs, and it also incorporates an i-cord edge around the entire perimeter. The instructions are charted, but the stitch motifs are simple and easy to remember once you get into the swing of things.

Knit in fingering weight and lace weight yarns, this shawl is super lightweight. Using a fluffy mohair or Suri alpaca blend as your lace weight yarn will provide a lot of insulation (as well as a perfectly cloud-like texture), making it a winter wardrobe staple. The tassels are optional, but they give the shawl such a fun flair, they’re truly hard to resist.
