Construction
The Shortcake Sweater is worked from the top-down in stockinette stitch with stripes. The back shoulders are worked flat and shaped using short rows. The front shoulders are then worked from the top-down and joined to form the front yoke, which is then worked flat. The front and back sections are then joined at the underarms, and the body is then worked in the round. Stitches are then picked up along the armholes to work the sleeves in the round. Stitches are then picked up along the neck hole to work the folded neck trim in the round.
