The Shimmering Gemstones sweater is named for the brioche patterns around the yoke, creating designs reminiscent of multifaceted gems shimmering in the light. The use of fingering-weight yarn makes this pullover a fabulous transitional piece for spring and fall weather. The combination of relaxing two-color garter stitch with stimulating brioche is the perfect balance of engaging your brain at the beginning and end of the knit, with a meditative break in the middle. This design creates a lovely canvas to show off one of your favorite hand-dyed yarns.

This pattern contains instructions for optional waist shaping, as well as notes to assist with adjusting length.

The brioche designs in the yoke and hem are formed with a combination of brioche cables (video tutorials included), increases and decreases. These patterns are shown in charts only.
