I’ve crocheted this lacy shell stitch scarf bunches of times.

My favorite version is the solid-colored scarf you see pictured here, but I’ve also crocheted several striped versions of it, too.

The pattern is written for the striped versions; to make the solid-colored version, simply omit the color changes.

This pattern was previously published at another website. The editors at that site have since removed it, so awhile back, I re-wrote and re-posted it at my own craft website.

Unfortunately, somehow the gauge section of the pattern got lost in the shuffle and didn’t make the transition between sites. I apologize for this and will update the pattern as soon as I can either find the missing info or remake the pattern to recalculate the gauge.

I hope you’ll enjoy the pattern! Thanks for checking it out.

If you don’t crochet, but you’d like to have one of my projects, you have a couple of options:

  1. You can use my free tutorials to learn how to crochet;
  2. Or, you can visit my Ko-Fi page to shop for project samples.

At Ko-Fi, you can also donate if you’d like to support my work; and, shortly, you’ll also be able to shop my de-stash sale.

(I worry that I will have to sell every salable yarn scrap I have in my stash. I’m in urgent need of funds, because my husband, Mike, founded a tech startup that is a cash-eating animal.

The grand hope is that someday, the tech startup will turn us into billionaires. But right now, it not only doesn’t earn money; It has been gobbling up every penny we earn and then some.)

Thanks so much for your interest in my work!
