Quand j’ai touché le fil Saperlipopette j’ai tout de suite voulu me tricoter une veste à porter tout le temps et sur tout, directement inspirée de ma robe de chambre la plus douillette. Car certes, travaillant à la maison et ayant des loisirs d’intérieur, je sors peu de chez moi mais j’aime hiberner avec chic.
Grande ampleur, enveloppement et bordure douillette : voici la veste Saperlipopette.
Elle se tricote en top-down et tout l’empiècement est construit grâce à la méthode contigüe (si vous ne connaissez pas : ce n’est rien de plus compliqué qu’un jeu d’augmentations pour créer la ligne d’épaules). Pour obtenir un beau tombé, le bas des manches et du corps sont ourlés. Et pour un maximum de douceur autour du cou, toute la bande de boutonnage (je ne suis pas sûre du mot dans la mesure où il n’y a ni boutons ni boutonnière…) est tricotée en double-face.
Concernant le fil : j’ai utilisé la Saperlipopette de chez Fonty que j’ai tricotée en double avec des aiguilles de 5 mm. C’est un mélange Baby Suri alpaga, soie et mérinos, inutile donc de préciser que ça ne pique pas (comme on me pose souvent la question…).

Le fil est tenu en double. Si vous utilisez un fil tenu en simple, divisez le métrage par 2.

When I first touched the Saperlipopette yarn, I knew right away that I wanted to knit a cardigan I could wear all the time and with everything—directly inspired by my coziest dressing gown. Since I work from home and enjoy indoor hobbies, I don’t go out much, but I do like to “hibernate” with style.

Oversized, enveloping, and featuring a cozy trim: meet the Saperlipopette cardigan.

Construction: It is knitted top-down, and the entire yoke is shaped using the contiguous method. (If you’re not familiar with it: don’t worry, it’s just a specific sequence of increases used to create the shoulder line).

Finishing touches: To ensure a beautiful drape, the bottom of the sleeves and the body are hemmed.

The Button Band: For maximum softness around the neck, the entire “button band” (though I’m not sure that’s the right term, as there are neither buttons nor buttonholes!) is knitted in double knitting.

About the Yarn
I used Saperlipopette from Fonty, held double, with 5 mm needles. It’s a blend of Baby Suri alpaca, silk, and merino—so, needless to say, it doesn’t itch at all (since I get asked that question quite often!).
