A slightly slouchy hat knit from the bottom up and features a rolled brim, twisted stitches (including twisted decreases) and seed stitch.

The pattern uses charts.

Gauge is based on larger needles.The smaller needles are only used for the ribbing.

15 May 2011: Added the following clarification to the pattern.

To do a twisted k2tog, you slip the first st purlwise.
Then you insert your right needle into the backloop of the next stitch coming from the left and slip it to the right needle. It should be twisted at this point.
Then you slip back the two sts on your right needle back to your left.
Then k2tog.
