My friend Ellen wanted a little project, something that was not too much, just in between tricky and ho-hum. Something that would work with this lovely variegate.

Perfect for a souvenir single skein, and wouldn’t it be awesome a little wider and longer and wrapped around your shoulders…
Materials Needed
420 yards fingering weight yarn
Shown here in a Madeline Tosh Merino Light
Gauge - 21 stitches and 30 rows = 4 inches, in pattern
US 4 needles were used to achieve gauge.
Needles one size smaller for the first and last 4 rows.
Finished Dimensions - 9 inches wide and 65 inches long, after blocking

Gauge is not critical, however, any difference will affect yardage needs or finished dimensions.
