CROCHET PATTERN (US and UK TERMS)
This pattern includes both a photo tutorial for beginners and the pattern in written form for the more confident crocheter.
It is a 9 page PDF download, with comprehensive instructions.
Instructions include -
Flower motif
Turning the flower into a hexagon
Half flowers with border
Joining method (join as you go)
Hexagon Blanket border
The pattern has instructions to create both a baby blanket and a throw/afghan but information is also included to help you customise it to your own size (sizing information is based on using DK yarn but you can use whatever size yarn you like). You could even make it into a cushion cover, or use the flowers to make a flower garland!
Level of experience is suited to a confident beginner - intermediate.
Stitches used are -
(US) SS, CH, SC, HDC, DC
(UK)SS, CH, DC, HTR, TR.
This pattern also uses Puff stitch, and SC/DC decreases, for which there are written instructions included in the pattern.
