Designed in collaboration with ITO yarn for their new yarn base Ito Shimo

This basic, sophisticated sweater design reflects what I felt about the wonderful dry and fluffy new yarn.

RIME is worked seamlessly from the top-down.
Start working the back in the contrast color and shape the back neck with short rows. Continue to work the back with additional short rows in Stst until the length of the back armhole is reached. With the main color pick up the stitches from the CO edge for the front and work both fronts symmetrically until the V-neck depth is reached. Join the fronts and work the front until the length of the front armhole is reached, then join the front and back to work the body in the round in Stst down to the bottom ribbing. Pick up the sleeve stitches to work the sleeves in rounds.

Finished bust circumference:
(cm): 100 (108, 116, 124, 130, 138)
(inch): 39.5 (42.5, 45.5, 48.75, 51.25, 54.25)
Choose a size that gives you (18-24 cm) (7 – 9.5 in) of positive ease at bust.
(shown in Size M with 24 cm (9.5 in) of positive ease)
Note: For bigger sizes less ease is recommended.

GAUGE:
23 sts x 34 rs/rds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in Stst after blocking

MATERIALS:
4 stitch markers
2 removable stitch markers - Waste yarn or stitch holder

NEEDLES:
A circular needle size to obtain gauge and DPNs for the sleeves. Suggested size: 3,25 mm (3 US)
A corresponding circular needle size smaller to main needle. Suggested size: 3 mm (US 2)

YARN:
Ito Shimo (80% wool, 20% silk), 266m (291yds) /50g. Main color (MC) 846 charcoal, Contrast Color (CC): 847 Raven

Number of skeins of Ito Shimo (50g) MC: 4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 5) Or m/yds: 830/910 (880/960, 960/1050, 1050/1150, 1150/1260, 1250/1360) of a similar Yarn.

Number of skeins of Ito Shimo (50g) CC: 1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2)
Or m/yds: 180/200 (200/220, 230/250, 260/300, 290/320, 320/350) of a similar Yarn.
