Ridge and Furrow Rainbow Triangular Shawl
This pattern is available as a
free Ravelry download
Sometimes, one colour is not enough; this shawl uses 56 different colours of Wollmeise Sock Yarn.
Materials:
- 1 x 150g Wollmeise 100% Merino Sock Yarn “Schwarz” (background colour)
- 10g Wollmeise 100% Merino Sock Yarn “Rottkappchen (border colour)
- 54 different colours of Wollmeise Sock Yarn - no more than 5g of each colour, some rows use less than 1g
- Twin or 100% will do, or use both!
Of course you don’t have to use 56 colours - you could use :
1 skein of multicoloured yarn for the background
1 skein of a semi solid colour for the foreground and
10g of a co-ordinating yarn for the border
Construction:
- Worked from the long edge, cast on at the border and decreased to the neck edge.
Pattern includes:
- Instructions for knit scalloped border
- Details of colour sequence and amounts of colours used in original shawl
Don’t like to cast on huge numbers of stitches?
An alternative version of a Ridge & Furrow Triangular Shawl is available HERE
It’s slightly smaller, worked in 3 colous and starts with a cast on of 1 st increasing on alternate rows until the yarn runs out.
