Expression Fiber Arts Pearlescent Worsted yarn

5 skeins needed 220 yds/4 oz (201 m/115 g) per skein.

The sample shown used approximately 1000 yards total/915 meters.

NEEDLE:

US Size 7 (4.50 mm) and Size 8 (5.00 mm) or sizes needed to obtain gauge

I love to travel! My favorite way to travel is by motor home. We have so many adventures, and I just love being able to stop and visit and explore the little towns as we drive. As we explore, it is so comforting to have a shawl that I can put over my shoulders to protect me from the breeze. I love that I can pop a tissue, a small souvenir, a shell or pebble in one of the pockets. It is comforting to have these little reminders of a fun, relaxing afternoon handy.

That is what this shawl embodies. The melodic repeats will put you in a calm, patient state of mind. As a beginner knitter, the ease of the pattern will help you build confidence and trust in your skills.

• The stitch used in this shawl is very stretchy when blocked. When blocking your project to your desired measurements, I recommend not overstretching the finished piece.
• I highly recommend making a test swatch, as the difference between unblocked and blocked dimensions can be 3-5” (7.5-12.5 cm).
• This pattern is made lengthwise.
