ReCover Ohia Leaves
Help us knit, crochet, and stitch an ʻōhiʻa lehua forest for “Joyful Return” at the Honolulu Museum of Art! Our installation begins in early July, so as many leaves as we can collect by the end of June will be a big help. The installation will be added to through the summer, and we will continue accepting donations through at least September. If you are located on Oahu island, we may be able to supply yarn (please email thefuzz.hawaii@gmail.com).
Gauge is not important for this project. Any size and yarn weight will be accepted, and you can use the hook size appropriate for the yarn (such as the size recommended on the yarn label). Please leave 6” tails (no weaving in needed!) as we will be using the tails to seam the leaves to a background.
