Meet Pippin, a cool little penguin ready for a warm cuddle or two.

He can be made in any yarn and hook combination you want. Just be certain that the fabric is firm enough that stuffing does not show through.

My Pippin is made in Vanna’s Choice Solids using three colors.

• Color 1: Colonial Blue (90 yards)
• Color 2: White (50 Yards)
• Color 3: Duckie (20 Yards)

Pippin in an Intermediate- to Challenging-level pattern. Skills you will need include single crochet, increases, decreases, color changes (cut and tie method), single crochet into the bottom of a foundation chain and some seaming. Included is a photo tutorial on how create child-safe eyes from felt, although instructions for using plastic safety eyes are given as well.
