Pineapples to Market
- 2020 Slow Yarn Crawl pattern from Sethany Knits!
- How’s that? A yarn crawl? Yep - even if you can’t travel, or shops aren’t able to open yet, we’re on: the Slow Crawl is virtual this year, too! That actually means you can join in from anywhere!
- Get a passport from this shop or other participating shops (they’re $10)
- Starting May 22nd, visit all the shops - online, or safely in person once that’s an option
- Each participating shop will give you the download codes for their pattern and a sticker or stamp for your passport (purchase required for virtual “visits”)
- Fill up your passport, and be eligible for prizes!
I love Pineapples in Crochet! Most of my favorite things to crochet up are doilies that have pineapples in them. I am even in a facebook group dedicated to crocheting doilies. As a state this year, Oregon stopped using disposable plastic bags in grocery stores. This became my inspiration for both my crochet and knitted pattern for 2020’s Slow Yarn Crawl! Thus my Pineapples to Market design was created.
Difficulty Level: challenging, intermediate
Size: Length is 16.5” laying on its side from bottom to top. The bottom is about 10” in diameter. Strap is about 24” in length and 2” wide.
Yarn: 2 skeins of Cascade Hampton—70% cotton 30% linen, 273 yards
Hook: Crochet Hook size D (3.25mm) or size needed to obtain gauge (note: I happen to have a very loose gauge and usually go down 2-3 sizes in hook from recommended. The yarn I used actually calls for a size 7-H hook (4.5-5.0mm). You do not want this bag crocheted super tight because you want it to have some stretch and give to it!)
Gauge: 4 dcs/inch
