Confetti and Lace Cowl
Confetti and Lace is a blend of my favorite design, chevron stitch, and pops of color that make me think of frosting with sprinkles! It is a fun pattern that you can take anywhere to work on as you go. Though you may need a bit of uninterrupted time to kitchener the ends together but that is well worth it for a cowl worked flat.
Difficulty Level: Advanced Beginner
Size: approximately 26 inch circumference
Yarn: approx 50g, one skein of fingering weight yarn. To get the “confetti” effect I used Alexandra-The Art of Yarn Darkside of the Moon Psychodelic.
Needle: 2—US size 3 24” circular or straight point needles (* piece is worked flat and then
grafted together using the kitchner stitch)
Gauge: 7 stitches per inch (spi) and 8 rows per inch (rpi) OR 28 stitches & 32 rows to 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette
Notions: Crochet hook size F (or size to accommodate your waste yarn), locking stitch marker, DK weight waste yarn about 1 and 1/2 yards or so
ERRATA: to clarify Row 2 you should repeat pattern ** to last 2 stitches then slip 2 wyif
