The Phoenix socks are knit in the round, from the cuff down, with a reinforced heel and a rounded toe. The leg and the top of the foot are adorned by a graphic and elegant lace pattern, which reminds me of a rising phoenix.
(The instructions for the lace pattern are charted only. Please note that for the leg section, it’s not possible to work both socks together on the same needle.)

SIZES 1 (2, 3)
To choose your size, measure your foot circumference at the widest point. The socks are intended to be worn with 1.5 to 2.5 cm / 0.5 to 1‘’ of negative ease around the foot.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS (after blocking)
Foot circumference : 17.5 (20, 22.5) cm / 7 (8, 9)‘‘
Foot length : 19 (21.5, 24) cm / 7.5 (8.75, 9.75)”
Leg length – from cuff to heel : 21.5 (25.5, 28) cm / 8.5 (10.25, 11.25)” (An option to shorten the leg length is provided for each size.)

GAUGE (after blocking) : 32 sts x 45 rnds to 10 cm / 4” in reverse stockinette stitch worked in the round.

YARN & YARDAGE : Fingering weight yarn (about 400 m / 437 yds in 100 g).
Approx. : 245 (315, 390) m / 270 (345, 425) yds
Sample yarn : Slavica yarns, Domovik (75% SW merino, 25% nylon), in colorway “From the ashes”.

NEEDLES (suggested size) : Size 2.25 / US 1 circular needles or DPNs, or size to obtain gauge.

NOTIONS : 1+3 stitch markers, a cable needle, a tapestry needle.
