Field of Seeds is the first pattern of The Seeds Collection. These socks were created to celebrate the beginning of a new spring. In a field just emerging from winter, tender little seeds timidly appear, quietly receiving the soft spring light.

The socks are knit in the round, from the cuff down, with a reinforced heel flap-gusset construction. A combination of simple stranded colorwork and slipped stitches adorn the leg with cute little seeds on a field of stockinette stitch, and a striped pattern nicely highlights the foot and the rounded toe.

SIZES 1 (2, 3, 4)
To choose your size, measure your foot circumference at the widest point. The socks are intended to be worn with 1.5 to 2.5 cm / 0.5 to 1‘’ of negative ease.

GAUGE (after blocking)
34 sts x 46 rnds to 10 cm / 4” in stockinette stitch worked in the round with smaller needles.
34 sts x 52 rnds to 10 cm / 4” in Field of Seeds pattern worked in the round with larger needles.

YARN AND YARDAGE
Fingering weight yarn (about 400 m / 437 yds in 100 g) in two colors, preferably with good contrast.

• MAIN COLOR- approximately : 245 (295, 350, 415) m / 270 (325, 385, 455) yds
• CONTRAST COLOR - approximately : 40 (45, 50, 60) m / 44 (50, 55, 66) yds

NEEDLES (suggested sizes) : Size 2.25 / US 1 and 2.5 mm / US 1.5 circular needles or DPNs, or size to obtain gauge.

NOTIONS : 1+2 stitch markers, tapestry needle.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL 2,5 / 5 : Basic top-down sock construction / German twist cast on or alternative / working in the round / ribbing / stranded colorwork with 2 colors / slipping sts / picking up sts / decreasing / grafting.

Les chaussettes Field of Seeds célèbrent le début d’un nouveau printemps. Dans un champ qui sort tout juste de l’hiver, de tendres petites graines apparaissent timidement, recevant tranquillement la douce lumière printanière.

Elles sont tricotées en rond, du mollet vers la pointe, avec un talon renforcé et une pointe arrondie. Un jeu de jacquard simple et de mailles glissées orne la jambe de jolies petites graines colorées sur un champ de jersey endroit, et un motif de rayures met en valeur le pied.

TAILLES 1 (2, 3, 4)
Pour choisir votre taille, mesurez la circonférence de votre pied en son point le plus large. Ces chaussettes sont destinées à être portées avec une aisance négative de 1,5 cm à 2,5 cm.
