Periphery Shawl
This oversized shawl is the first of a three-part series using the same stitch motifs, the other installments being a scarf and a cowl. Each design features strong vertical and horizontal lines, as well as subtle, delicate lace detail. Throughout the pattern, you alternate lace-weight and fingering-weight yarns to create an airy and lightweight FO, with stability provided by the i-cord edge.

Note: Gauge is not critical for this pattern, one of the biggest factors determining the dimensions of your FO is actually the tension of the i-cord edge. Keep this tension loose to block your shawl even larger if desired!
