This oversized scarf is the second of a three-part series using the same stitch motifs, the other installments being a shawl and a cowl. Each design features strong vertical and horizontal lines, as well as subtle, delicate lace detail. Throughout the pattern, you alternate lace-weight and fingering-weight yarns to create an airy and lightweight FO, with stability provided by the i-cord edge.

Dimensions: 95” length by 17” width

Needles:

• Size US 4/3.5 mm 32” circular knitting needles

Notions: Tapestry needle

Yarn:

• Yarn A: 850 yds/780 m Lace weight yarn (Sample used The Plucky Knitter Spiffy Lace in colorway Stuart)
• Yarn B: 950 yds/870 m Fingering weight yarn (Sample used The Plucky Knitter Solo in colorway Micro Batch No. 0053)

Gauge: 23 sts x 38 rows = 4” x 4” worked in garter ridge as below (lightly blocked):

• Garter ridge pattern (worked flat): knit three rows, purl one row

• Note: Gauge is not critical for this pattern, one of the biggest factors determining the dimensions of your FO is actually the tension of the i-cord edge. Keep this tension loose to block your wrap even larger if desired!
