I’m pleased to introduce Perce-Neige socks, named after the Snowdrop flower that blooms from January to March! This model features a lovely lace pattern that resembles clusters of bell-shaped flowers.

.
MATERIAL NEEDED:

• Biscotte Yarns - BIS-SOCK 85% merino wool sw, 15% nylon; 400 m per 100 g -1 SKEIN featured in an exclusive color as this pattern was designed for the Biscotte Mystery Sock Club MARCH 2025, and in the self-striping colour California Sunshine.
• DPNs or circular needles of 2.5 mm; US#1.5 (or the size required to obtain the gauge).
• 1 tapestry needle
• 1 stitch marker

GAUGE
34 stitches = 10 cm - 4” in stockinette stitch and in the round.

SIZE
Adult one size: foot length is adjustable.

NOTE
These socks are worked from the toe up, with a stitch pattern above the foot and around the leg. To cast on the stitches, I suggest an “alternative toes-up cast on” method that you can find on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/r-mhv0n5vs8

The technique proposed for knitting the heel was popularized in 2006 on the blog fleegleblog.blogspot.com, hence the name given to this heel, the “Fleegle heel”.

The PERCE NEIGE pattern is worked on a multiple of 18 stitches and is available in both chart and written versions.
