This lovely little top is a great project to work on while enjoying some downtime and using up your stash.
Knitted from the bottom upwards in an interesting but easy slipped stitch pattern, the back and front pieces are knitted together at the shoulder seams before working the sleeves downwards, with subtle hidden decreases to make for a feminine fit.
This structure means that the project is easy to pick up and put down, portable (because you’ll be working in rows, not rounds), and the colour change ends can easily be woven in as you go along. When you have cast off the neckband (which is worked in the round to avoid a visible seam) there’ll just be the very simple side and sleeve seams to sew up and you’ll be good to go!
It’s become the most useful piece in my summer wardrobe so far—I hope you’ll love yours just as much!
