Parallel Play Wrap
Choose seven colors of fingering weight yarn and knit this elegant parallelogram shaped shawl. The shape is knitted in vertical strips with little parallelogram color blocks stacked on top of each other. Use the schematic illustration included in the pattern to help plan your colors and create your own beautiful Parallel Play color sequence. You can easily customize the length by knitting as many parallelograms as you like in each vertical strip. You can also customize the width by simple stopping early for a narrower scarf or continue repeating the vertical strips to make it as wide as you want. I-cord edges frame the shapes while you seamlessly knit the pieces together with a modular technique. Use this gorgeous garter stitch pattern as a canvas to play with color!
Finished Measurements
104″ / 264cm long, 18″ / 46cm wide. Measurements taken after blocking.
The sample is very long. You can easily customize the length by knitting fewer parallelograms in each vertical strip. The sample features 28 parallelograms in each vertical strip. If you knit 21 parallelograms in each vertical strip, you will achieve a scarf length of about 78″ / 198cm. If you knit 14 parallelograms in each vertical strip, you will achieve a scarf length of about 52″ / 132cm.

Errata
On the top right of page 4, it should say… “The strip should measure approximately 52″ / 132cm after completing 14 total parallel shaped color blocks.”
The measurements listed under the Finished Measurements section on page 2 are correct.
The yardage requirements listed on page 2 of the PDF contain enough yarn to knit the largest/longest size, so if you are knitting a version with fewer parallelograms in each strip, you will use fewer yards.
