750 (800, 850, 900, 950, 1000) (1050, 1110, 1170, 1230, 1290) yards / 685 (730, 775, 825, 870, 915) (960, 1015, 1070, 1125, 1180) meters of Worsted Weight Yarn to fit a 24 (26, 28, 30, 32, 34) (36, 38, 40, 42, 44) in Waist / 34 (36, 38, 40, 42, 44) (46, 48, 50, 52, 54) in Hips. I used Lion Brand “Ferris Wheel” for this design, though Knit Picks “Chroma Twist Worsted” is a great choice too!

These pants are knitted as one piece in the round from the top down, with the waistband knit using the smallest (3mm) needle to ensure it is snug on your waist. The waistband is then folded and joined with the option to insert elastic or add eyelets for a drawstring. The pants are then knitted until the crotch where the legs are separated and knit one at a time. The length of each leg and ribbed cuff is totally custom to you, and luckily you can try them on as you go to ensure they are the perfect fit. These pants have a slender but relaxed fit, and if you desire for them to fit more like leggings, you can just choose a size down!

As there are various needle circumferences and needle sizes used throughout this design, it will be easiest if you have an interchangeable circular needle set.
