This pattern is featured in issue 15 of Laine Magazine.

This beautiful, relaxed cardigan has pattern detailing on the lower body and on the sleeves. The name Niitty means “meadow” in Finnish, and it was inspired by the flowers in a meadow. The cardigan is worked bottom up, flat. The buttonband is worked separately using the double knitting technique and sewn (or crocheted) to the body piece.

Or approx. 1260 (1340, 1455, 1555, 1640) (1820, 1915, 2010, 2230) yds / 1150 (1220, 1330, 1420, 1500) (1660, 1750, 1835, 2035) m of DK weight yarn.

Needles: US 4 / 3.5 mm and US 6 / 4 mm 48″ / 120 cm circular needles, US 4 / 3.5 mm DPNs.

Notions: Stitch markers, US 6 / 4 mm hook, stitch cords or waist yarn, tapestry needle, 5 buttons.
