Know a baby who doesn’t much like to sleep at night?

This is a seamless hooded sweater worked top down with a stranded colourwork yoke and integral scratch mitts hidden in the wings. The pattern is cast on at the neck and then the hood is picked up from the cast on neck stitches and knitted bottom-up, with short rows to shape it.

The features are made separately and sewn on afterwards. The eyes are crocheted, if you don’t like to crochet then felt eyes would work well too.

Check your tension on the middle sized needles then use a size larger for the colourwork and a size smaller for the ribbing.

The smallest size takes one ball (104m/115yds) each of three different colours with plenty left over. The larger sizes will need two balls each of three colours but again this should give you plenty.

The colourwork is charted but the rest of the instructions are written. Available in three sizes.

Please come along to our Wee County Yarns Ravelry group if you have any questions, or send me a PM.

Thanks to Lillerina and Cacondal for the inspiration!
