This scarf was inspired by a shoal of neon tetras swimming in an aquarium. The scarf is knitted sideways with short rows to create the wee fish and the overall shape. Only one colour is used in a row at any one time.

The scarf uses two 100g hanks of contrasting yarn, it uses nearly all 400m of the main colour and just over half of the contrast colour. It works equally well with a variegated main and solid contrast or a solid main and variegated contrast. As long as there is good contrast between all colours in each yarn it’ll work.

If you have any questions about the pattern please PM me or come over to our Wee County Yarns Ravelry group.
