From the designer’s intro: “This bag was inspired by the textiles of Peru. I love the little llamas, it took me about 6 swatches to get them exactly like this, the first few had necks that were too long, or legs that were too short! These ones remind me of the llamas on the Mallkini ranch, that to me are always together walking and grazing around the mountains.”

The version in the book calls for two 50g hanks each of K’acha in Crimson 1208, Kingfisher Blue 1203, and Deep Navy 1206. Finished bag measures 26 cm/10.25 ins x 24 cm/9.5 ins x 6 cm/2.25 ins. Pattern also calls for lining fabric, about 40 cms/15.75 ins x 75 cms/29.5 ins, and one button. Llama pattern is charted.
