Milo is a unisex jumper based on the same cables used for Milo The Cardigan(see my Ravelry library here: https://www.ravelry.com/designers/vera-marcu).
Australians love a good hot cup of Milo (first developed in Australia in 1934) and its sweet chocolate goodness is something that I have come to associate with coziness and a bit of indulgence. This jumper is meant to bring the same comfort to the wearer and hours of enjoyment to the knitter.

Milo is worked (almost) seamlessly from the bottom up in a handsome combination of cables and reverse stockinette stitch; the only seam is the shoulder seam. The body is worked in the round to the under arms and then the front and back are worked flat with sloped bind offs used to shape the shoulders. The modified dropped shoulder construction brings a better fit. After the sleeve cap is shaped with German short rows worked flat, the remainder of the sleeves are then worked in the round. While Milo is a unisex jumper with consistent chest measurements, a men’s sleeve option is provided for working the sleeve decreases over a longer number of rows to accommodate a longer arm length. As the sleeves are worked from the shoulder towards the cuffs, the length is easily customised.

Materials: 5 (5, 5, 6, 6)(7, 8, 8) skeins Great Southern Yarn 5 ply (Sport weight) - 100% Australian SRS Merino (280 metres/307 yards per 100 grams). Pictured in Elizabeth Cummings. Actual amount used: 1204 (1273, 1400, 1559, 1669)(1887, 1992, 2100) metres/1312 (1387, 1526, 1700, 1819)(2057, 2171, 2289) yards.
