Mali Hat is a double layer reversible beanie hat, with one side knit in stranded colourwork, and the other side in plain stockinette.

Mali Hat starts with a crochet provisional cast-on and knit as a tube. The crown is formed by dividing the tube into quarters and making left and right leaning decreases.

The hat can be worn without a brim or as a beanie with folded brim,
showing part of the reverse side as the brim, for additional warmth around the ears.

The hat uses a modified chart from the Mali Cowl pattern.

GAUGE
28 sts x 33 rounds = 10 cm / 4 in over stranded pattern and stockinette, knit in the round after washing and blocking. You may need to drop down 0.25-0.5 mm needle sizes to get the gauge for
the stockinette.

Colourwork needles: 3.75 mm / US 5 (or size needed to obtain gauge) circular needle in length 40 cm / 16 in, or any other needle types to suit your preferred method for knitting in the round.
