Mad Miter Crochet Scarf
The Crochet version of the Mad Miter Knit Scarf
Worked in half double crochet stripes, this project features an unusual construction and is a quick way to use up small amounts of leftover worsted weight yarn. It would be a great way to use up some self striping yarn. I recommend using at least 2 colors of yarn, a solid color would look nice, but stripes show off the construction better.
The directions in the pattern are for a scarf, stole, or an afghan. If you decide to make the afghan option, you’ll need to make two separate pieces following the afghan directions, then seam them up the middle.
The scarf requires approximately 500 yards of yarn, the stole 1000, and the afghan 3500 total. You could get by on less, but that may affect the finished size. Once you complete the center section, you can work on both ends at the same time in order to create matching stripes on both ends.
