This sock pattern was inspired by the Everly Brothers song, “Love Hurts”, which has been covered by a variety of artists since its introduction in 1960. My favourite rendition is the one by Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons.

This is a cuff-down sock with a patterned heel flap and a star toe. Instructions are provided for three sizes: small (medium, large), with a cast-on of 60 (68, 76) stitches. The pattern will add stitches to compensate for the cables pulling in, so pick a size similar to your usual stitch count.

Instructions are written, and the cable patterns are charted. You may use any technique/needles you prefer for knitting a tube in the round.
