Little Stitches Hoodie
I watch my children sit wide-eyed at the table with a new box of crayons. It takes them several minutes to decide which color of the many to use first. Their masterpieces are not normally finished until every single crayon has marked the page. Like their masterpieces, this pattern weaves together colors and textures to create a warm and sturdy fabric that plays with the colors in hand-painted yarns. Designed with variegated yarns in mind, this hoodie captures a fun and classic style while making use of patterning and colors to provide depth and sophistication to the garment. As the colors in the yarn begin to play with each other, you will find yourself, much like my children and their crayons, waiting for the next color to emerge and complete your masterpiece.
Has both a plain collar and hood option.
DK/Light Worsted yarn in two colors (Colorways shown in photo: Fireside Chat (MC) and Guinness (CC)) . 110 – 175 yards for trim (CC) and 275 – 700 yards in a hand painted/variegated colorway (MC). Yarn total includes hood (Less MC yarn is needed if doing the neckband option.)
This pattern does require the ability to read your knitting. It is an intermediate/advanced pattern. Finished measurements and lack of stretch from the linen stitch needs to be considered when choosing sizing for this pattern.
