From Nancy Bush’s Pattern Introduction The design for these socks comes directly from a photograph of an undated pair of socks in the National Museum of Lithuania in Vilnius. They are made of black and natural grey wool. The inspiration for amber yarn used as the main color in this design comes from the precious fossil resin, amber, found along the Baltic coastline…. They have a Dutch Heel and a Wedge Toe.
