Inspiration can come from unexpected places. This patterns was inspired by lengths of linked chains and how we’re all linked together both by strong and yet sometimes delicate ways.
Intermediate to advanced lace knitting. Ability to understand charts, pattern stitch on wrong side rows and varying stitch count from row to row. PATTERN IS CHART AND WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS.
Pictured scarf was knit using 500m of handspun beaded laceweight, 3.0mm needles, 3 pattern repeats. Finished size 10” x 70”. Another sample scarf was knit using 275m of handspun light fingering, 3.75mm needles, 2 pattern repeats. Finished size 13” x 53”.
