YARN

Any wool, wool blend, cotton, or acrylic yarn that has the equivalent of 100 m / 110 yds in 50 g / 1.7 oz. It is consistent with the Worsted weight that is marked by the digit “4” on the yarn label.

You will need around 30 m / 33 yds of yarn to make one cup sleeve.

NEEDLES

Circular or double-pointed needles in size 3.5 mm (US size 4).

Note: I find it more comfortable to make this cup sleeve using the magic loop technique, but you can also work with two circular needles or with five double-pointed needles.

To work with one long needle and the magic loop technique, the circular needle should be at least 80 cm / 32” long.

NOTIONS

Wool needle for weaving in tails.

GAUGE

22 stitches x 30 rounds worked in stockinette stitch.

NOTES
