This pattern is for a vintage style chick and bluebird - they are variations of the same basic pattern.
Finished birds are approx. 3.25in (8cm) tall.
You will need about 18yds (17m) of DK/light worsted yarn in your main colour for each bird plus smaller amounts of other colours.
You will also require a small amount of 100% polyester toy filling.
Gauge isn’t crucial when knitting toys, but you must make sure that your knitting isn’t too loose or the toy filling will show through.
You are welcome to sell any items you make - but please don’t launch into mass production!
