A Knarr is a type of Viking longboat used for sea voyaging.

This hat was made to match the Knarr Sweater.

The hat is one size and designed to be used with dk/ weight 3 yarns and a 4mm. I have a 23” head. I used approximately 82g/ 197m of merino yarn. You may also want a button and a bobble for your hat.

Whilst Knarr is one size and slouchy but I have included information to adjust the size for a perfect fit. Some testers adjusted the hat to suit their tastes and information about how they did this can be located in the accompanying look book.

Knarr started as an experiment to see how many Herringbone stitch patterns I could fit into one design. The hat features a herringbone spine panel and herringbone double crochet.

Knarr has step by step photos and is a 24 page pattern but also includes a link to a printer friendly version. There is also a video of the hat being made.
