Klasyk
Basic fitted tee with fully-fashioned shoulder and crew neck. Worked seamlessly from the top down. First, the back shoulders and neck are shaped. Next, the shoulder stitches are picked up and the left and right fronts neck are shaped with increases. After that, the left and right fronts are joined and the front armholes are knitted down to the specified length. Then, the front and back armholes stitches are picked up and the sleeve caps are shaped with short rows. Next, the back, fronts and sleeves are joined to work the yoke in the rounds with increases along the armholes. After that, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold and the body is worked in rounds to the desired length with bottom ribbing. Next, the finishing ribbing is applied to the crew neck. Finally, the sleeve stitches are picked up to work the short or long sleeves in rounds to the desired length with bottom ribbing.
SIZES
Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL) to fit bust circumference 76-80 (84-88, 92-96, 100-104, 108-112, 116-120) cm / 30-32 (33-35, 36-38, 39-41, 42-44, 45-47)”.
Finished bust circumference: 88 (94, 100, 108, 114, 120) cm / 34.5 (37, 39.5, 42.5, 45, 47.5)”.
Choose the size that gives you 0 - 12 cm / 0 - 4.75” of positive ease at bust. With the size increase the amount of ease is gradually decreases.
YARN
Sample with short sleeve is shown in Gusto Wool Core (80% merino wool, 20% nylon, 400 m (437 yds) / 100 g (3.52 oz)), 200 (200, 300, 300, 300, 300) g. Or any similar yarn approx. 700 (800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200) m / 765 (875, 985, 1095, 1205, 1315) yds.
Sample with long sleeve is shown in Filcolana Anina (100% merino wool, 210 m (230 yds) / 50 g (1.76 oz)), 300 (300, 350, 350, 400, 400) g. Or any similar yarn approx. 1160 (1260, 1360, 1460, 1560, 1660) m/ 1269 (1378, 1487, 1597, 1706, 1815) yds.
GAUGE
26 sts х 38 rows = 10х10 cm / 4x4” square in stockinette stitch on main needles after blocking.
NEEDLES
Main circular needles 3.25 mm (US 3), 80 cm (32”) and 30 cm (12”) for the body and sleeves.
Corresponding circular needles size 3.0 mm (US 2½), 80 cm (32”), 60 cm (24”) and 30 cm (12”) for the body ribbing, neckline and sleeves.
Or any size of the main circular needle to obtain gauge. Corresponding circular needle size is smaller than main.
NOTIONS
4 stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holder, tapestry needle, blocking tools.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Long tail cast on, knit/purl, left and right leaning increases/decreases, circular knitting, german short rows, backwards loop cast on, cable cast on, picking up stitches, binding off.
