Hello, and THANK YOU for your interest in this pattern!

The Kirlin Pullover Sweater takes its name from my grandfather – a phenomenal man equally as skilled in storytelling as he was in the sciences. This sweater is your opportunity to tell your own story! Use colors you love – and either knit this sweater and wear it as is, or embellish the yoke (and any other part of the sweater you’d like) with embroidery or crewel work.

MATERIALS
Yarn: Sock weight yarn in eight colors.
You’ll need 1600-1800 yards of your Main Color (MC) and approximately 100-150 yards of each of your Contrast Colors (CC1-CC7). This is a good place to use up leftovers!
The sample was made with the following:
MC MadTosh Twist Light – Rainwater
CC1 Hedgehog Fibres Sock – Urchin
CC2 Old Rusted Chair Tough Sock – Last Call
CC3 Hedgehog Fibres Sock – Vengence
CC4 MadTosh Twist Light – Nassau Blue
CC5 Biscotte Yarns Bis-Sock - Feu de joie
CC6 MadTosh Twist Light – Citrus Orange
CC7 Twisted Owl 2-Ply – Light Blue

Needles: US 4 (3.5 mm) 16” and 32” circular needles and needles in preferred style for small circumference knitting in the round.
US 6 (4mm) 32” circular needle.
Tapestry Needle

GAUGE
23 sts and 34 rows = 4” in Stockinette stitch after blocking.

SIZES
Finished Bust: 36 (38, 40, 42, 44, 48)“

This sweater is knit in the round from the top down.
