Kilt Hose for Chubby Legs
“As Robbie Burns day approached, and as the snow was upon us, I thought it would be a treat for my little one to have long handsome socks to keep his legs warm and cosy. What better way to celebrate the traditions of my Scottish home than to knit a pair of Kilt Hose?
As for the little details of the hose, well, what is cuter than these little “hugs and kisses” cables (XOXO) at the back of chubby calves? Add to that a few stretchy mock cables for a pretty yet comfy cuff, some shaping to allow room for these chubby calves, a traditional heel flap and gusset construction, easily adaptable for higher arches, and a nice round toe… and there you go!“
