We vacationed in Montana last year, and stayed in the cute little town of Kalispell. Our kids adored the snow, and played in it for hours. They were glad of the woolens we had brought, including this new design - a Tunisian Crochet colorwork scarf.

It’s easy to incorporate colorwork with the Tunisian simple stitch, and it produces beautiful results. Be aware that there are a lot of ends to weave in, but if you do this as you go along it’s not too bad. Also, consider using wool or wool blends as the ends will felt in over time. Wool blocks beautifully and helps remove the curl that Tunisian Simple Stitch sometimes gets.

I used Cestari Mt Vernon 2 ply worsted for my white and turquoise colors. I held it single as this yarn is a very thick worsted (more like a chunky yarn). The grey is Studio Donegal Soft Donegal held double to match the thickness of the Cestari.
The sample used 1 skein in each color of the Cestari and 2 skeins of Studio Donegal.
