Jolnir
Jolnir is one of many names of Odin, the major god in Old Norse mythology. Jolnir is the Yule god. These mittens remind me a lot of Yule time, and have therefore borrowed their name from Jolnir.
Jolnir mittens are a pair of traditional colorwork mittens with a modern feel. The ribbed cuff makes it fit snuggly around your wrist, keeping snow out, and the classic Norwegian construction with a thumb gusset give the mittens a comfortable fit.
The pattern is suitable for intermediate knitters and adventurous beginners. Specific required skills are listed below. Colorwork pattern is charted only. The pattern has been test knit and professionally tech edited to reduce the possibility for error, but if you have questions or believe that you have found an error, please contact me.
