Joelentine beanie
Joelentine beanie is worked bottom up, first in the round in rib and then flat in a rib based texture and intarsia. It has a triple folded brim and the top is joined with modular knitting and garter stitch (no seams). In the photos you see size B.
YARN 
Svarta Fåret Merino (100 m ≈ 109 yds. / 50 g) or Sandnes Double Sunday (108 m ≈ 118 yds. / 50 g).
SIZES 
A-B-C, with circumference of the brim approx. 45-50-55 cm / 17.75-19.75-21.5”, for head circumference approx. 50/55-56/60-61/65 cm / 19.75/21.5-22/23.5-24/25.5”, and length approx. 23-24-25 cm / 9-9.5-9.75”.
YARN AMOUNT 
Colour 1 (Sandnes Double Sunday, That Orange Feeling 3819): 1-1-2 balls OR approx. 95-108-125 m ≈ 105-120-140 yds. 
Colour 2 (Sandnes Double Sunday, Deep Burgundy 4372): 1 ball OR approx. 50-55-65 m ≈ 55-60-70 yds.
 
Colour 3 (Svarta Fåret Merino, Grey GigaByte 221302): 1-1-2 balls OR approx. ca 90-100-120 m ≈ 100-110-130 yds.
ALTERNATIVE YARN 
Other soft wool yarn in DK-weight.
 
Note: If choosing to work with a more rustic, slightly thicker yarn with less bounce I recommend you size down.
GAUGE 
approx. 22 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” on 4 mm (US 6) needles over 1x1 rib worked in the round, after blocking. 
approx. 19 sts x 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” on 4 mm (US 6) needles over texture pattern worked flat, after blocking.
NEEDLES 
4 mm (US 6) circular needle, 80 cm / 32” long.
3,5 mm (US 4) circular needle, 40 cm / 16” long or other needles for working small circumferences. 
Two 3,5 mm (US 4) DPNs, (optional, works with the circular needle as well).
TECHNIQUES 
Intarsia, modular knitting.
