Sometimes I have to remind myself that the weather south of the Equator is the opposite of my weather here in the Northern Hemisphere. As I was knitting this while it was hot and humid I had to remind myself ‘It’s winter somewhere!’ This cowl and the matching hat found here are fun to knit and perfect for cooler weather, whenever that happens in your neck of the woods.

Details: I wanted to create unisex cowl with plenty of visual interest. Traditional cables, slipped stitches, and a cable that looks like an hourglass flow smoothly to and from the atypical 1x1 ribbed edging. The size is larger enough to wear doubled to be extra cozy.
The instructions are both charted and written.

Size: 54” in unstretched circumference x 8” tall. Instructions are included to make the cowl taller or wider but please note this will change the required yardage.

Yarn and Needles: 2 hanks Studio DK in Anacostia; size 6/4.0mm needle
