Sometimes I have to remind myself that the weather south of the Equator is the opposite of my weather here in the Northern Hemisphere. As I was knitting this while it was hot and humid I had to remind myself ‘It’s winter somewhere!’ This hat and the matching cowl found here are fun to knit and perfect for cooler weather, whenever that happens in your neck of the woods.

Details:I wanted to create unisex hat with plenty of visual interest. Traditional cables, slipped stitches, and a cable that looks like an hourglass flow smoothly from the atypical 1x1 ribbed brim. Stitches are cast on for the brim and then knit to the crown. This hat can easily be knit longer to create more of a slouchy hat.
