Irmelie
Irmelie is a simple and elegant lace shawl, with a crescent shape that makes it drape well over the shoulders. It features a beautiful lace edge with heart shaped motifs, and a simple stockinette stitch body. It is worked from the outer edge, and is shaped with short rows.
The pattern is suitable for intermediate knitters and adventurous beginners. Specific required skills are listed below. Instructions are both written and charted. The pattern has been test knit and professionally tech edited to reduce the possibility for error, but if you have questions or believe that you have found an error, please contact me.

Instructions are given for three different sizes.
Length: 39 (47, 55)“ / 100 (120, 140) cm
Width: 17 (18, 19)” / 43 (46, 49) cm
Recommended yarn:
JaggerSpun Zephyr Wool-Silk 2/18 [50 % merino, 50 % tussah silk; 630 yd/576 m per 56 g skein] Color: Garnet.
1 skein.
Approximately 410 (520, 630) yd/ 370 (470, 570) m of lace weight yarn.
Needles & notions:
US #4/3.5 mm circular or straight needles, or the needles that gives you a fabric you like.
Tapestry needle
Gauge:
15 sts/36 rows = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch after blocking.
Gauge is not important in this pattern, but a different gauge will affect the finished size and the yarn requirement.
