The Houbie scarf is a variation of the new shell pattern. In this pattern there are more stitches between the yarn overs and three togethers than is traditionally knitted.

The positioning of the yarn overs and decreases creates a zigzag so it lends itself wonderfully to using different colours. You can use any combination of colours or just use one colour.

This commonly was the second piece of knitwear to be learnt as it introduces the knitter to 3 togethers.
