This pretty shawl is knitted from the top down, beginning at the center in a crescent shape that wraps around your body and stays nicely on the shoulders.

You begin with a simple lace pattern of lovely ‘blades of grass’ that change into leaves as the shawl progresses towards the border.
The center panel has tiny lace ‘branches’ that continue down the length of the shawl.

Lastly, the scalloped border edging is worked sideways – knitted directly onto the edge, which eliminates a long bind-off and makes a beautiful finish.

This is an advanced beginner/intermediate pattern, you need to be comfortable working 2 simple lace patterns at the same time while increasing at the borders.
