Every week from November 20th to December 25th I will release a pre-recorded video in the Helix Hosiery KAL Facebook group that will guide you through each segment of the sock. You will learn how to cast on, knit in the round, create the helix pattern, shape the heel, and finish the toe. You will also get tips and tricks on how to avoid common mistakes and make your socks look professional.

Schedule
The video tutorials will be released in 6 parts according to the schedule below.
tutorial 1 - Nov. 20th
tutorial 2 - Nov. 27th
tutorial 3 - Dec. 4th
tutorial 4 - Dec. 11th
tutorial 5 - Dec. 18th
tutorial 6 - Dec 25th

Yarn
3 colours of fingering weight yarn.
One colour will be used for contrasting cuff, heel and toes; I recommend 50g.
Two colours will be used for the helix stripes. I recommend 100g for a pair of socks.

Needles
One pair of 9” Circulars to obtain proper gauge or one pair of DPNS to obtain gauge.
One pair of 32” Circulars to obtain proper gauge. These will only be used to work toe if using 9” circulars.

Other Materials
5 Stitch markers. One extra for safekeeping.
Darning needle to do Kitchener stitch and weave in ends.

Skills
Beginner to Intermediate sock knitter.

Choosing Yarn
When choosing the right colour combinations for yarn choose a high contrast between two colours for helix striping if you want definite stripes. If you want a more muted effect then feel free to choose variegated, speckled, or tonal yarn. For the cuff, heels and toes I like a neutral colour.
